Now that 2006 has arrived, we will need to continue making great strides in the area of SMT rework. Many that would not even consider removing an SMD have overcome the fear and now feel confident doing SMD desoldering and resoldering. Now it is time to move forward once again and face the new Lead-Free challenge. Our mission at Chip Quik®, Inc. is to gather as much feedback from the rework industry and pass it on to the engineers and technicians that are constantly striving to improve their own rework techniques and skills. The end result is that we all benefit from what we learn from each other. I personally would like to thank all that have contributed to the valuable feedback we have received at Chip Quik®.The e-mails, phone calls, and testimonials never stop. While demonstrating CHIP QUIK® at electronic shows, I have had the opportunity to meet and talk to many talented professionals in the electronic industry.
